Frederick John Parsons was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia on January 29th, 1922 to Veronica Mary Kennedy and Francis F. Parsons. He was raised in London, Ontario. He has three brothers Howard, Sidney (deceased), Lawrence and one sister Veronica (deceased).

F/O Parsons was killed when his Mustang aircraft (AP173) did not return from an intruder patrol over France.
