F/O Lochnan (Service # C997) was from Ottawa, ON, and was killed 21 May 1941 at age 27. He was the son of Frederick Michael and Lilian Mary Lochnan, and the husband of Jane Lochnan, of Toronto, Ontario.

He is commemorated on Page 36 of the Second World War Book of Remembrance. CLICK TO VIEW PAGE

F/O Lochnan was flying a Lysander aircraft and went missing while engaged in a sea search in bad weather.

One airman, not Canadian, was also killed.
