Pilot Officer English (Service # J5663) was from Campbellton, NB and was killed 13 December 1941 at age 21. He is the son of Alfred Henry and Mary Elsie Fraser English, and the husband of Dorothy Gordon English, of Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada.

P/O English was shot down while flying a Tomahawk aircraft (#AH865) in the middle of the English Channel on a line between Black-sur-mer, France and Beachy Head, England. P/O Jackson was also killed in this engagement.
