F/L Brown was killed in a Vampire aircraft while practising for the upcoming CNE airshow. His aircraft had flamed out and crashed near Downsview.
Flight Lieutenant Brown was the son of Joseph and Bertha Brown. Husband of Jean Brown and father of Judith Brown. He was the brother of William and Robert Brown.
He is commemorated on Page 20 of the 'In the Service of Canada' Book of Remembrance.
F/L Brown is buried at the Burnsland Cemetery in Calgary, Alberta
