In July 2011, Gerry was appointed President of the newly formed 400 Squadron Historical Society by the outgoing directors of the 110 Squadron Society which was closed down. Click Here for more information.

He has been directly involved in all the projects which were undertaken by the Society under his Presidency, along with many other related duties such as liaison with 400 Tactical Helicopter Squadron and The History Hangar Society.
