ABOUT THE BARBEQUE

The 2015 BBQ reunion of 400/411 Squadrons was held at the Royal Canadian Legion QOR Branch 344 located at 1395 Lake Shore Blvd. W. in Toronto. This was the first time the event was held there.

A total of 33 people were in attendance and by all accounts everyone had a good time. The weather was warm and clear. People enjoyed watching the activity of the Argonaut Rowing club right below the patio deck and on the water.

The food was served buffet style and was catered by Donny Blais, owner of Blazing Kitchen and a member of the branch. The food was excellent and was enjoyed by all. Many thanks go to Donny.

A raffle was held of memorabilia donated by attendees and tickets were sold one for $1.00 or three for $2.00, raising $71.00 helping to defray the cost of the event.

A survey of seven questions was passed out and thank-you to those who took the time to fill it out

The 2015 committee: Lynda E. Bone, Marilyn Richardson and Jim Voteary are to be commended on doing a fine job in organizing this year’s event under some trying conditions. Well done guys!
